The SOCAscore - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I take the SOCA score?
It could not be easier to take the test. Simply click on the Take Test button and follow the on screen instructions.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
There are two ways of paying for the SOCAscore, either on-line using a credit or debit card or alternatively corporate clients may pre-pay for a number of tests, which then be taken by simply entering a password which will be supplied by us.
To obtain further details about becoming a corporate client and setting up pre-paid tests please contact us on info@soca.co.uk and one of our consultants will contact you.
A single SOCAscore test costs just £25 (UK Pounds) or the equivalent in your local currency. This price is inclusive of local taxes and you will be issued with a VAT receipt for the total amount showing how much you have paid. This will be emailed to you as soon as we have validated your credit or debit card details through the ePDQ secure system (which uses 128 bit SSL encryption to ensure that your card details are processed securely). Once the payment has been completed, this website will take you through the instructions for taking the test and capture your responses to questions before providing your output reports.
What will the results reveal about me?
The SOCAscore is designed to indicate your sales skills and uses your responses to questions that look at your Technical Selling and Managerial skill understanding, as well as your Personality and Behavioural traits. As such the SOCAscore looks at how you think, what you value and your experience of relevant sales situations. A number of the questions look at your reasoning skills and as a result we are able to produce an analysis of your sales skills and indicate how your skills and experience fit to different types of sales roles. There is no pass or fail score with the test, we provide a percentage score that then fits into different job grades. The SOCAscore analysis indicates your present strengths and development needs as well as the type of job roles where you are likely to feel comfortable.
Who is the SOCAscore aimed at?
The SOCAscore is aimed at people who either currently work in a sales role or who may be considering working in a sales role. The SOCAscore is designed to specifically assist business managers and recruitment consultants to accurately assess candidate suitability whether in pre-hire, promotion or training evaluation situations. It is also a useful personal development aid that helps individuals to better understand their own sales skill levels.
Can I print the questionnaire and look at it?
The SOCAscore test is conducted on-line therefore it is not possible to print the questionnaire. You will be presented with a number of questions on each screen. The questions are straightforward to complete and we believe that you will enjoy entering your responses in real time. Once you have started the SOCAscore test you may return to previous questions and amend your answers before submitting your test.
How will I receive my results report?
When you have completed the test, your results will be automatically calculated to produce your SOCAscore, category and skill scores (see sample report). At the end of the test a link will be sent to you where you will be able to see your SOCAscore report online from our system. You are then able to save, print and distribute the report as required. Your individual report will remain in our database for a minimum of three months so that you are able to access it at any time during that period. The email link contains a security number that is only ever sent to the person whose email address is entered as the "report recipient", immediately prior to starting the test. The report cannot be accessed without this security number.
What happens if I lose my connection or need to break mid-test?
In the event that you lose your connection or need to unexpectedly log-off from completing the SOCAscore, it will automatically be suspended. You then have the ability to reconnect to a test that is partially completed and continue with the testing process. In order to reconnect to a partially completed test, simply enter the "candidate login" and "password" details from your receipt, that you will receive prior to starting the test. Please note that reconnection to a partially completed test needs be done within 48 hours of starting the test.
Is there a time limit for taking the test?
There is no time limit on completing the SOCAscore test. We would normally expect candidates to complete the test in between 30 to 45 minutes; however should candidates wish to take longer they are able to do so. The only time restriction is that all your responses are entered within 48 hours of starting the test, this should allow for unexpected interruptions whilst doing the test.
Can I go back and review my answers?
You may return to previous questions as often as you wish and amend your answers. This procedure may be repeated until you finalise and submit your test. You will clearly be asked to submit at the end of the test. Once you have submitted the test, you will not be able to amend any of your responses further.
What will happen with the results of my test?
Upon successful completion of the SOCAscore test, the results are emailed to the person whose email address was entered in the "Email of Report Recipient" field, prior to starting the test. This will normally be the person who has paid for the test however it may be a supervising manager or a recruitment consultant. Additional copies of a specific candidate's test data are not provided, in order to protect client confidentiality. Should the candidate not be the result recipient, he or she may only obtain a copy of the results from the person whose email address was entered in the "Email of Report Recipient" field, prior to starting the test.
